Spider-Man: No Way Home Showtimes – The More Fun Stuff Version

The More Fun Stuff Version

Our friendly neighborhood hero’s identity is revealed for the first time in cinematic history, bringing his Super Hero responsibilities into conflict with his everyday life and putting those closest to him at risk. He enlists Doctor Strange’s help, but their battle unleashes the most dangerous and ruthless villains ever seen in the Multiverse.

Spider-Man: No Way Home

The third Tom Holland-led Marvel Studios Spider-Man film, Spider-Man: No Way Home, was a massive success at the box office, bringing in $1.9 billion and a “Fresh” 93% Tomatometer score. This superhero blockbuster had all the ingredients of a great comic book movie, including a mix of hilarity and heart, some anxiety and action, and even some happy surprises.

Fans who missed out on seeing this Spider-Man movie in theaters will have another chance to catch it as it re-releases in theaters across the globe this month with an extended cut called The More Fun Stuff Version. As the title suggests, this new cut adds more hilarity and fun to the story. This is a perfect way for Spider-Man fans to see the movie again or for new audiences to experience this MCU hit.

It will also be available to stream on Starz, which has a free seven-day trial to watch the movie. After your trial ends, you’ll be billed $8.99 a month unless you cancel your subscription before the end of your billing period.

Spider-Man: No Way Home stars Tom Holland as Peter Parker, Andrew Garfield, and Tobey Maguire as their respective MCU incarnations of the character, Jacob Batalon as Ned Leeds, Zendaya as love interest MJ, Benedict Cumberbatch as Dr. Strange, and Jon Favreau as Harold “Happy” Hogan. The cast also includes Marisa Tomei as May Parker, Rhys Ifans as Max Dillon/Electro, Thomas Haden Church as Flint Marko/Sandman, Alfred Molina as Otto Octavius/Doctor Octopus, and Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock/Daredevil.

Fans who wish to watch the original theatrical cut can still see it in theaters through September 2. The release dates vary worldwide, with the earliest date arriving in Indonesia on August 31 and the latest coming in South Korea on October 6. This re-release will be the only time that Spider-Man: No Way Home will be released in theaters before it eventually makes its way to Disney+. It is currently expected to be on the streaming service in 2024, but the timing is subject to change.

The More Fun Stuff Version

There’s nothing like seeing a big-budget, major blockbuster movie in a theater. Whether it’s a superhero flick, a cult classic, or just a great piece of filmmaking, there’s something about watching it on the big screen. This is especially true when it’s a sequel or reboot that has the potential to be a little bit more fun than the original. A theatrical re-release, or the “More Fun Stuff Version,” is great. Unlike when we had to groan at a two-hour runtime, re-releases let us go back in and watch movies that we know will be much more fun than the original.

Spider-Man: No Way Home is one of those films that will undoubtedly be worth revisiting on the big screen. It’s a sequel full of hilarity, heart, action, anxiety, and happy surprises. And it’s all wrapped up in a package that looks like it was worth every single dollar that it cost to make.

The film picks up moments after the end of Far From Home, where J. Jonah Jameson revealed Spider-Man’s secret identity, upending the lives of Peter, MJ (Zendaya), and Ned (Jacob Batalon). To keep his loved ones safe, Peter goes to Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) for a spell to erase his memory. But things go awry, and characters from other timelines start showing up, forcing the three Peter Parkers to team up.

While Sony tried to keep the appearances of Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield a secret, the studio has now confirmed that those actors will be returning for the re-release. In addition to ensuring the appearances, Sony also released a new poster and trailer for the re-release, which you can check out below.

The More Fun Stuff Version adds 11 pieces of footage to the original 148-minute film. Some extra scenes include a more extended chat between Peter and Harry at the Statue of Liberty and a phone call from an electric company with some fascinating information. It also has more Daily Bugle blasts and interaction between Charlie Cox’s Murdock and Happy Hogan.

Release Dates

Earlier this month, Marvel and Sony released Spider-Man: No Way Home, the third film in the Tom Holland-led franchise. The movie became the most significant theatrical release of 2021 and is now one of the highest-grossing superhero films ever made. The film will be re-released with an extended cut this September. The More Fun Stuff Version will hit theaters on Friday, September 2.

Jon Watts directed the movie, which Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers wrote. The cast includes Tom Holland as Peter Parker, Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange, Zendaya as Michelle Jones-Watson, Jacob Batalon as Ned Leeds, Jonathan Favreau as Harold “Happy” Hogan, Jamie Foxx as Max Dillon/Electro, Thomas Haden Church as Flint Marko/Sandman, Rhys Ifans as Dr. Curt Connors/Lizard, and Alfred Molina as Otto Octavius/Doctor Octopus. Other ensemble members include Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock/Daredevil and Tom Hardy as Eddie Brock/Venom.

The re-release will feature an extended cut, but the studio isn’t providing further details on what will be included in the new edit. It will be available at the same theaters and in IMAX as the original release. The extra footage is expected to run about 10 minutes longer than the original movie.

It’s unclear if the new release will affect the film’s theatrical and DVD release schedules. It’s possible that it could move up a bit in the program to avoid a potential clash with Avengers Endgame, but that remains to be seen. It’s also possible that the re-release will be released on video-on-demand after its theatrical run.

The re-release of No Way Home will be the first time that fans can see the extended cut of the movie. The original film was released in 2021 before Sony’s post-Pay One deal began with Disney+. That deal will eventually see the movie and spin-offs from the Spider-Man universe migrate to the new streaming service, including the Sam Raimi trilogy, Homecoming, and Far From Home.

Trailer

The first teaser trailer for Spider-Man: No Way Home racked up 355.5 million views in its first 24 hours, surpassing the previous record-holder, Disney/Marvel’s Avengers: Endgame. Now, Marvel has released a new extended cut of the movie.

This new movie version is packed with action, humor, and heart. It also brings together many elements from the previous MCU Spider-Man films. The film is sure to appeal to a broad audience. However, parents should be aware that the first scene in Peter’s apartment has some sexual references, and there is a lot of fighting in the last stages. This is typical of superhero movies, but it may be too much for some younger children.

Tom Holland reprises his role as the web-slinging hero in this latest film. He is joined by Zendaya as Michelle “MJ” Jones-Watson and Jacob Batalon as Ned Leeds. The film is directed by Jon Watts, who also helmed the two previous Spider-Man movies starring Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield. Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers wrote the script.

The plot revolves around the multiverse, a dimension created by Doctor Strange that connects alternate universes. When supervillains of different sizes show up in our world, Peter’s Super Hero responsibilities conflict with his everyday life and those closest to him. After enlisting Strange’s help to restore his secret, he discovers that a spell tears through the Multiverse and releases some of the most dangerous villains in any universe.

The new trailer for the re-release shows Spider-Man battling a colossal giant in Tokyo, while other scenes show him fighting alongside his friends and loved ones. The teaser trailer is packed with plenty of Easter eggs and references to the previous MCU Spider-Man films.
