Notably, this uninsulated hoodie from Carhartt is less warm than their three midweight Rain Defender hoodies with an inner liner, likely owing to their heavier 13-ounce fabric weight compared to this unlined version; plus, all three zip all the way to the chin, which helps trap heat inside.

With a quarter-zip mock neck collar for easy on and off use and rib knit cuffs and waist to keep cold air out, this men’s sweatshirt also includes front handwarmer pocket as well as a hidden security pocket with Carhartt logo embroidered on it on the front left pocket – formerly known as Paxton Heavyweight Hooded Zip Mock Sweatshirt; however, this unlined version may not provide as much warmth due to lack of insulation provided by midweight Carhartt Rain Defender insulated versions which include insulation linings inside.

This loosest fit in this range features a standard zipper front, which stops at the base of the neck instead of zipping all the way to the chin as the three midweight hoodies do.
