A Foodie Stays Fit – Meet Teri Hutcheon

Teri is an author, blogger, podcast host, and traveler who relishes life’s adventures. She shares them on Instagram, TikTok, and her Table Talks podcast.

TERI continues to transform how society perceives, assists, and empowers individuals with developmental disabilities through support, advocacy, innovation, and determination. I operate model programs and conduct research in best practice procedures. Training professionals, as well as families, is another critical service offered by TERI.

What I eat

TERI holds that physical well-being is closely tied to the quality of life and longevity, and as such, has created special programs at its Fitness Center for staff and students that aim to promote and increase human wellness, such as fitness assessments, nutritional counseling, cardiovascular strength/resistance training, flexibility training classes and health-related workshops.

Entrepreneur and thought leader, she is passionate about finding innovative ways to assist others in leading healthy, fulfilling lives. She enjoys developing her knowledge by taking part in strength training courses – particularly for women over 40 who want to build muscle later in life! As such, her practice includes working with many women as well as seniors.

Sarah is fiercely committed to producing content that’s relevant, helpful, and educational for her audience. She often turns down pitches from brands she doesn’t genuinely use or love (even at high financial cost!) in order to ensure only things she recommends and adores are displayed to them.

She is an authority on longevity, believing that “Longevity Starts at Birth.” With extensive knowledge in bio-individualized nutrition plans for her clients – from complex health conditions and world-class athletes to bio-individualized diet plans – she uses it all in her private clinical practice and is the author of The Wildatarian Diet: Living As Nature Intended book series.

What I don’t eat

Teri is an exceptional fitness expert with vast knowledge about what works and doesn’t work, having worked with ballerinas, professional athletes, and Olympic hopefuls to maximize their potential – not to mention her recently published Amazon bestselling book Wildatarian Diet – Living As Nature Intended.

She has impeccable attention to detail, is quick to spot every error, and strives for perfection in everything she does. She never does anything “just to have something new on the blog” and always turns down pitches for products she doesn’t love (even if that means forgoing substantial compensation!).

She’s a lovely person and highly dedicated to her family, especially Tommy and their son Charlie. Tommy calls her throughout the day to see how she’s doing while she constantly seeks ways to make life simpler for him. They both share an interest in art, so their home is full of stunning, one-of-a-kind pieces from different artists – no wonder they make such a happy couple! They even plan date nights regularly so as to maintain their strong relationship – something which they have done without any fighting for three years! Additionally, she and Tommy love traveling and visiting their favorite spots, such as Mexico, while making sure to experience new cultures together!

Fitness tips

Carrie talks with Teri Hutcheon of A Foodie Stays Fit about family, fashion, follicles, food finances, and remaining fit.

Foodies in their 40s and 50s can still maintain health by running marathons – the key lies in staying consistent with exercise while prioritizing recovery between workouts. Start with a run/walk ratio and gradually increase it until you build endurance; aim for 1 minute of running and 2 minutes of walking on your initial outing.

Teri is an infectiously cheerful name perfect for welcoming the sun’s warmth into their lives! Like Theresa, Terry, and Tessa before it, this feminine name exudes flower child chic. Bring on endless summer!
