The event will be held on the University of Arkansas campus in Fayetteville. The opening and closing ceremonies will take place in the Chi Omega Greek Theatre (weather permitting). The carnival will be held in the Arkansas Union building.

Nationally ranked Ole Miss track & field will be among the best teams at the 2023 Razorback Invitational. Several Rebel newcomers will be competing this weekend, including sprinter Shamier Little.

Location

FAYETTEVILLE, Arkansas – The Florida track and field teams travel to the University of Arkansas’ Randal Tyson Track Center for the 2023 Razorback Invitational. The meet is set to begin with field events at 11 a.m. CT on Friday, followed by the track events at 1 p.m. CT on Saturday. All action will be streamed live on SEC Network+.

The Sooners will be looking to build off their strong showing at the K-State Winter Invitational on Dec. 10 as they enter the second meet of the season in Fayetteville. The team will showcase a number of freshmen, including multi-athletes Shamier Little (women’s 400m) and Taliyah Brooks (women’s Long Jump, Shot Put and 60m Hurdles Open). The team’s first event against UA will feature the men’s 4x400m relay.

Dates

The sixth-ranked Arkansas High baseball team is off to a quick start to the spring. The Rebels are scheduled to play North Little Rock and Russellville on Thursday and Saturday, respectively.

Nationally ranked Ole Miss track & field teams will be among the top squads to compete at this weekend’s Razorback Invitational. The meet runs Jan. 27-28 at the Randal Tyson Track Complex and is streamed live on SECN+.

Some notable athletes to watch include Shamier Little in the women’s 400m and Taliyah Brooks in the long jump, shot put, and 60-meter hurdles open events. Other top-ranked athletes at the event are Austen Dalquist (800m), Andrew Irwin (pole vault), and LaQuan Nairn (60m). The Cabot Athletic Department would like to welcome teams from Bryant, Benton, Lake Hamilton, Mt. Saint Mary, and both Cabot North and South high schools for the 2023 Central Arkansas Junior High Conference Volleyball Tournament (9th grade only).

Schedule

The 2023 season marks the sixth year of this event, which features many of the nation’s top track & field teams. Nationally ranked Ole Miss men and women are both scheduled to compete this weekend, as are Arizona State, Baylor, BYU, Florida State, Iowa, Kentucky, LSU, Oklahoma State (men only), Oregon State (women only), Stanford, Texas A&M and USC.

TCU also brings a talented group of athletes to Fayetteville, including several newcomers who are set to make their program debut. The Horned Frogs are led by Khadevis Robinson, a former Ohio State assistant coach and head cross country coach, and Tyrone Edgar, who came to TCU this year after 11 seasons at UT-Arlington. Some of the notable names competing for the Frogs include London Culbreath, Iyana Gray, Rachel Hall, and Reese Pokluda.

Registration

The invitational features six teams from the SEC—Arkansas, Florida, Kentucky, LSU, Mississippi, and Texas A&M—along with many top programs across the nation. This year’s competition will feature a number of elite athletes who are making their college debuts. Several girls and boys that MileSplit has highlighted for their potential to make big waves this weekend are set to compete.

TCU will see a number of its athletes compete, including 2022 NCAA Outdoor All-Americans Gracie Morris and Jaren Holmes. In addition, the Horned Frogs will see Khadevis Robinson (Director of Track and field) and Tyrone Edgar (Assistant Coach) make their coaching debuts at the event. Some of the other notable athletes competing include London Culbreath, Iyana Gray, Rachel Hall, and Reese Pokluda. Several other high school runners that MileSplit has highlighted are expected to race at the invitational as well.
