Hyundai Veloster Review

5

Whether you’re looking for a car that’s affordable, fun to drive, or just a little more compact, the Hyundai Veloster is a great choice. It’s got a lot of great features that make it fun to drive and convenient for everyday use. It’s also a good choice for someone looking for a car that’s comfortable and quiet.

It’s a compact car

Originally based on the Elantra sedan, the Veloster is an attractive four-door hatchback with sporty, sporty interior styling. Hyundai has been known to offer a range of powerful engines for the Veloster. It has a base 2.0-liter inline-4 engine with 147 horsepower and six-speed manual transmission, or a turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-4 with 201 horsepower and a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic.

The Veloster N features an exaggerated rear end, dual center exhaust pipes, and fender creases. The Veloster N is available in three models, including regular, extra hot, and performance. The regular model starts at $18,900, while the performance model starts at $32,250.

Veloster is a four-door hatchback with a unique asymmetrical door configuration. The rear passenger door is on the right side, while the driver’s side door is on the left side. This configuration is more commonly seen in minivans and commercial vehicles. It is also meant to facilitate loading and unloading cargo.

For the 2022 model year, the Veloster will remain unchanged. In addition to its standard features, the Veloster will feature an 8-inch touchscreen display, a rearview camera with dynamic guidelines, active voice recognition, and forward-collision warning. The Veloster will also offer Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

It’s a hot hatch

Compared to other vehicles in its class, the Hyundai Veloster is a hot hatch. That is, it’s a compact car with a high-tech turbocharged engine. It has a plethora of performance features, and its performance is quite good.

One of the most important aspects of a hot hatch is its handling. These vehicles are a joy to drive because they’re sprightly and can handle heavy loads with relative ease. Their bodies are light and chuckable, and they also have a surprisingly large amount of cargo room.

A hot hatch is also usually engineered to be fun. The Veloster has a few funky design features, such as a big box wing over the hatch deck and asymmetrical access points on both sides.

While not as well designed as the Volkswagen GTI, the Hyundai Veloster is an effective and fun car. It’s also an affordable alternative to the Volkswagen GTI.

While it might be a bit of a stretch to say it is the cheapest ticket to a sub-five-second sprint, the Veloster N does have its moments.

It’s quiet

Despite its tiny dimensions, the Hyundai Veloster N is a fun and sporty car to drive. It’s an excellent choice for budget-minded drivers looking for a little extra performance.

Veloster N’s Active Engine Sound system is a hoot. It produces a nice, satisfying roar. This is probably the best engine noise you’ll hear in a car of this size.

The Veloster N has a few other niceties. Its asymmetrical three-door layout makes for a great conversation piece. It also allows passengers to easily load the back seat. The third door is small, but it’s handy for a quick exit.

The Veloster N’s 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system has a few nice touches. The display is small but well-marked. It has an aforementioned slew of buttons for easy access to the main screen menus. The display also includes stereo volume knobs and a few other tricks.

The Veloster N is also one of the best-sounding four-cylinder cars you’ll ever hear of. X-Force has developed an exhaust system for the Veloster, and it sounds pretty good.

It’s fun to drive

Designed to be a fun-to-drive car, Hyundai Veloster offers a great driving experience and funky looks. The Veloster’s turbocharged 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine produces 275 horsepower. It comes mated to a six-speed manual or eight-speed wet dual-clutch automatic transmission. Both transmissions have an over-boost function, allowing the engine to temporarily raise its torque rating.

Veloster’s interior has a very unconventional seating layout. It features a single door on the driver’s side and a door on the passenger side. This configuration makes it easier for passengers to get in and out of the car. However, the back seat is short on headroom.

Veloster’s interior features dour black and gray color schemes with splashes of N blue. Its seats have a lot of lateral support and are covered with a mixture of cloth and simulated leather.

Veloster’s steering wheel is wrapped in real leather. It has a checkered flag N button and a spider-grid selection screen for controlling drive modes.
