Pebble Time Kickstarter Campaign Sets a Record
March 8th, 2015 | by Michael Fox
While there are still about three weeks to go in Pebble’s Kickstarter campaign for its Pebble Time watch, the campaign has already set a record. The campaign has grossed $16.9 million through nearly 66,600 backers.
The Pebble Time is a smartwatch that has a battery that can last for about seven days on one charge. It has a color e-paper display and is 9.5mm thick. It can work with thousands of apps and can link with Android and Apple apps. It can also be secured with one of many 22mm watch bands.
The Pebble Time watch will be sold on the market for $199 but a limited number of models are available in the Kickstarter campaign for less than that.
This is not Pebble’s first time that it had a massively successful campaign. The original Pebble watch raised about $10 million back then.
