Microsoft’s Bing search engine is reporting that according to the newest comScore search report, Bing has a 20 percent share in American desktop searches. This is the highest total that Bing has held since it was introduced in 2009.
Specifically, Bing has a 20.1 percent share as of March. Google continues to be at the top with 64.4 percent of the market.
This comes as Apple has started to use Bing on its Spotlight search feature in lieu of Google. The expectation of Bing to be integrated into the upcoming Windows 10 operating system is expected to make Bing even more popular.
Microsoft’s Bing is still far behind in Europe. Bing has a 3.37 percent market share in Europe while Google holds a 90.94 percent share.
