HP Using Bang & Olufsen For Its Laptop Sound Systems

April 22nd, 2015 | by

HP is using the Bang & Olufsen Play audio system for its Envy x360 and Pavilion x360 laptops. These two are the first Windows 8.1 laptops to feature the high-quality sound system program from the prominent Danish audio technology company.

The system uses a separate audio island within the computer so its signals are separate from what is found on the motherboard. Fewer metal parts are also used in the headphone jack. The main objective of the setup is to create the clearest and most accurate sounds possible.

HP’s use of the Bang & Olufsen Play setup comes as Apple has been using Beats for its audio quality features.
